Confluence Integration
How to Link Confluence Pages, Spaces, and Live Docs with Contacts Data in Mria Contacts
Preview Feature (Atlassian)
Confluence app connections are part of a new Atlassian platform capability that is still in Preview. Some inconsistencies or access-related issues may occur. This is expected until Atlassian finalizes the feature.
The Confluence Integration in Mria Contacts lets you connect your Contacts and Companies with Confluence content. Your team can now keep important documentation and customer records connected in one workflow.
You can link and manage Confluence content directly inside Mria Contacts.
Setting Up the Confluence Connection
To use Confluence content linking, your Jira administrator must first connect Mria Contacts to your Confluence site.
How to connect
Users with Jira administrator permissions can set up the connection:
Go to Jira Settings β Manage apps
Select Mria Contacts: Contact Management for Jira & JSM
Open the Manage connections section
Click Connect next to Confluence
Review the permissions and confirm
Once connected, app users will gain the ability to search, view, and link permitted Confluence content directly from Contacts records.
Linking Confluence Content from Contacts
You can add Confluence items directly in the full view of a Contact or a Company using the β¦ β Add Confluence link option.
This opens the Confluence content section, where you can attach:
Pages
Spaces
Live Docs
Search works the same way as in Confluence β you can only see items you have permission to view.
Permission Behavior
The integration strictly follows Jira/Confluence permissions:
If a user can access a page in Confluence β they can see and link it in Contacts
If a user cannot access a page β they wonβt see it at all in Contacts search or results
To add links that should appear for everyone (even if the content itself is restricted), use Add Web link
How Linked Content Appears
Once added, Confluence items appear under the new Confluence content section within the Contact record.
Users can:
Click to open a page, space, or document in Confluence
Remove links using the delete icon
Add more items using + Link New Item
This mirrors the workflow used in Jira Links, but tailored for Confluence search and permissions.
