How to Link Jira Issues with Contacts Data in Mria Contacts: Contact Management for Jira
The Jira Integration connects your Contacts & Companies data with Jira work items — giving your team full visibility into customer-related work right inside Jira.
You can link and manage entities from both sides:
From within Mria Contacts Management (linking Jira work items to a Contact or Company)
From within Jira (via the dedicated Mria Contacts panel in the issue view)
Linking from Mria Contacts
You can add Jira work items directly from the Contact or Company full view using the Jira Links section.
Once linked, the connection automatically appears inside the related Jira issue.
Mria Contacts Panel in Jira
Each Jira work item includes a Mria Contacts section on the right panel.
This panel shows Contacts and Companies linked to the selected work item along with their statuses and key details.
When expanded, it shows a structured list of all linked entities with status badges, values, and quick actions.
Available Actions
Action | Description |
|---|---|
Link entity | Click the “+ Link …” button in the corresponding section to attach a Contact or Company to this Jira issue. |
Unlink entity | Hover over any linked entity and click the × icon to remove the connection. |
Open record | Click any linked name to open its page in Mria Contacts. |
View all | Opens a filtered view in Mria Contacts showing only entities linked to the current Jira work item. |
Contacts/Companies Statuses
Mria Contacts Management shows how active a Contact or Company is by counting the number of linked Jira Service Management requests (both open and closed). Only JSM tickets contribute to this activity indicator — internal Jira issues created by your team are not included. This separation helps you clearly distinguish external customer interactions from internal work.
These statuses help identify where each contact or company stands in your sales process — directly within Jira.
JSM Integration (Service Desk)
If your team works with Jira Service Management, the JSM Integration adds an extended workflow on top of everything described here. It includes the same core linking features, plus a suggestions tool that helps support agents quickly understand whether a requester already exists in Mria Contacts — or if they should create a new Contact directly from the ticket.

Tip
Use the Mria Contacts panel to keep your Jira issues in sync — no need to switch tabs or copy data manually.
Every update you make to linked entities is reflected on both sides.
